dcmk_yaoiI had to rewrite this, but THERE IS A NEW CHAPTER. It was going to be Chapter 5, but it's Chapter 4 instead. All I did to change things was to make everything so far be before the troll encounter, so no rereading required.

Summary: Not only does Gandalf 'persuade' a frazzled hobbit to join Thorin's quest for Erebor, but a man and an elf as well. While they realize it takes a very special elf to be willing to join this crew, it takes all but Shinichi awhile to realize just how 'special'...However, this elf is not the kind that one hears about in stories, for the other elves did their best to drive his people to extinction a thousand years ago. Note: this 'other kind of elf' is a subgroup I made up on my own and does not exist in canon. You have been warned.
