Date: 2005-08-07 09:40 am (UTC)“Truce?” Gin growled, not moving from his seat under the hair dryer, long hair wrapped up in a towel.
“Truce.” Akai agreed, stalking over and taking a seat next to the man dressed in black. It was hard to find a good hairdresser who not only didn’t ask questions about if that was blood in one’s hair or not but did a good job too. Killing the other wasn’t worth the trouble of having to find a new hairdresser. And there would be other opportunities.
Gin snickered as Akai pulled off his knit cap, short wavy hair, almost curly, sticking up every where. Akai ignored him, nodding at the hair dresser. “The usual. Even up the ends a bit.”
The hair dresser nodded, quickly getting to work without comment. Silence descended except for the hum of the dryer and the sniping of the scissors. It would have almost been peaceful if it wasn’t for the open hostility burning between the two men.
“Think I should get a manicure?” Gin mused idly, examining his nails.
Akai snorted in amusement. “Now you’re starting to sound like Vermouth.”
Gin glared. The sound of a cat screeching echoed from outside.
Silence returned.
“Your bleach job should be done, sir.” One of the attendants informed Gin. He rose with an over abundance of dignity and moved to where he was directed. Akai snickered quietly.
Time passed. Akai’s hair cut was finished first and he went up the counter, to pay, only to find Gin’s bulk looming over his shoulder. “See?” Akai commented. “This is why short hair is nice. Get done faster.”
“It’s boring.” Gin corrected with a smirk. “And the women like it when it’s longer.”
Akai shrugged and stepped aside for Gin to pay, putting his knit hat back on, much to the hairdresser’s dismay. Gin followed, putting on his own fedora.
The FBI agent held the door open for the man in black, who nodded politely and stepped through. Akai quickly followed, the door shutting behind him.
The sound of gun shots followed.

...^_^;;;;
A somewhat safer idea was how Gin and Akai are half brothers (they look and act enough alike...they're both even left handed. And Shuichi has the longest eyelashes I've seen on an anime guy, but that's another tangent...)
Haven't had a Gin/Akai before though...what DID Akai call him?

Ariade/Shin'ichi (that whole 'Vermouth as Ariade' REALLY messed with our head on there)
Heiji/Okita (which rules)
Nakamori Ginzo/Kuroba Toichi
Toichi/Yuusaku
Mouri/Conan (brrrrrr)
Kaito secretly hearting Nakamori-keibu (it's called 'Love Letters' ^^;)
Shiratori/Takagi
Matsuda Jinpei/Hagiwara Kenji (alive and wrecking havoc)
And the usual:
K2/Shin'ichi
Heiji/Shin'ichi
Heiji/K2
Saguru/K2
Saguru/Shin'ichi (bonding mutally over the Kid and Holmes)
(Using 'K2' for Kaito and Kid. It's KK either way. ^^;; )
Haven't found any Heiji and Saguru... which kinda bums me out. Personality wise, they'd clash. But artistically, think the contrasts would be pretty. (yeah, I know, shallow of me)
Also have some with Conan, (now have a firm rule of thumb for going through doujinshi: if it's got Conan on the cover, I put it back) but Shouta goes on my 'squick' side. Size and all that. (tho have one where Conan tops Heiji. o_O )
Can't find any doujin with just the girls tho.

Should also note that when I say family, I mean The Family. There's a reason I make Shoji part Sicilian.

Mind still insists that if Shinichi becomes a Kaitou, Night Baron would be a great name to go by... or in the case of something like Becky Tailwear's "Relative Truth" timeline, Night Baron would be great as you-know-who's Kaitou name. ::babbles::whaps self to stop::
